Why is it some people hear you,
But they never really listen?
Are they simply bored,
And would rather be fishin'?
When someone asks to speak to you--
They expect your full attention.
Not a glazed look
Like a school kid in detention.
Employers sometimes do this
During job interviews--
While you answer their current question,
They're thinking of the next one to choose.
They don't necessarily
Intend to be rude,
They just think
They have better things to do.
That's a problem worldwide--
When governments "hear" their citizens
But don't "listen" to what they say,
Causing unrest yet again.
