Patience

Sometimes it's in short supply--
Even though it shouldn't be.
Some don't even have any--
That seems sad to me.

Some time's it's due
To having a totally rotten day,
Sometimes you just
Seem to wake up that way.

Those who have it in abundance,
Need to share their secret.
Then maybe people
Wouldn't have so many regrets.

Be especially patient
With the disabled and elderly,
Small children and animals--
They need love like you and me.

And remember yourself--
You need patience too,
You can't have patience for others
If you have none for you.
