They brought California surfin'
To teenyboppers lives.
Jan and Dean went
to "Surf City",
Where I'm sure the girls
In bikinis were pretty.
And The Surfaris
With "Wipeout",
That drumbeat
Was way, way out.
Ronny and The Daytonas
Driving their "GTO"
They were so fast--
They put on quite a show.
Last but not least--
The Beach Boys had
A sound all their own
And it wasn't a fad.
They had "Don't Worry Baby",
And gave us "Good Vibrations"--
And they wished "California Girls"
Were all across the nation.
They had their "Little Deuce Coupe",
And when "Surfs Up"
They'd take "Surfin' Safaris"
These days they even have surfing pups.
After all this time--
They still make hits,
Who wants to go to "Kokomo"
And enjoy memories bit by bit?
