Another New Year

One year has passed
With it's problems and grief--
A new one starts with
Renewed hopes for peace.

A new year brings with it
Chances to cure disease--
No more bullying or hatred,
And people can feel at ease.

A chance to make
Peoples wrongs right,
New opportunities to
End hunger and blight.

To remember we're ALL God's children,
However we look--
Don't always judge a person by their cover,
Like you wouldn't judge a book.

Pray for our country--
To remain a Christian nation,
And for it to stay that way--
For all coming generations.
