There are all kinds of waterworks. Irrigation, plumbing, drinking, recreational. All are important, but the most cherished waterworks are human tears, they're emotional.
Everyone cries for different reasons: joy and sadness, grief, anger, loneliness and I'm sure many others. Someone who cries easily is not weak, not at all. It means they're human and care about others.
When you lose someone you love or something you love that's alive, it can knock the wind from your sails. Losing your home or your job can cause you to doubt yourself. It doesn't mean you're bad, it's just what life entails.
Objects can mean a lot to people and represent memories. But the love of friends and family should be cherished. Because depending on circumstances, that's not easily replaced. Crying is a waterwork that should never be laughed at or diminished.
For the people who can't or won't cry because they want to be seen as strong, I feel sorry for them not to have that release. Holding it in just makes a person feel worse and even alone. Jesus cried in the Bible, we can too to get some peace.
