LOST CHANCES

Have you ever lost someone in your family who would never let you get close to them? Everytime you'd try to connect to them they'd either say shut up and go away or get angry at you for something they seemed to think you'd done. You love them because they are family,  but you don't like them as a human being. When they pass away  you feel sad, but not grief stricken. The only thing about their passing that makes you cry is that any more chances to connect to them are gone. Always had to put on an act in public like everything is fine, but in reality it isn't.  It's too late to change things now, but the memories and pain still haunt you. Everyone says it's in the past, move on. But it's not that easy to do. It's sort of like a form of PTSD, only not from military battle. Just pray to God and He will help you day by day.
