My name is Sawyer Allen Blake.
I found out I'm gonna be a big brother soon.
My sibling is gonna be a GIRL!
Our whole family is totally over the moon.
I'm gonna have to learn how to be a big brother.
I'll love her, protect her, and pester her day and night.
And I'll always make sure that others know that
They better treat her right.
My nickname was "Squish" when I was a baby.
Mom and Dad will have to think of another name for her to take--
That sounds like a girl, hopefully not too gushy,
After all--I have my reputation at stake.
I'll teach her all kinds of things, and be selective
Sharing my toys. And I must remember to tell Santa Claus
Our house now has a girl AND a boy. And I'll tell her not to be
Scared when she hears his reindeer's paws.
The whole family will make sure she knows about
God and Jesus, and always feels loved and safe.
Mom and Dad will be so very, very proud
Of both the kids they raised
