Millions of men and women have served our country in war, They've seen and lived through terrible things. Some maimed for life, some gave the ulimate sacrifice, They don't always like to talk about it as it brings back bad memories. They saw homes and cities destroyed, innocent people inlcuding children slaughtered. Basically what Russia is doing to Ukraine.
Now think of all the mass shootings in this country. None provoked by acts of war--just someone brainwashed by hate, or not in their right mnd and decides they want to kill people. The relatives of those killed live with nightmares forever. The children traumatized by witnessing the carnage, will need therapy. And the parents of the children killed, see their children's hopes and dreams and futures break apart like shards of broken glass. Not to mention the grief they suffer.
If we can't solve the problem of gun violence in our country, then we have failed not only ourselves, but future generations, as well as God.
