To all our friends and loved ones now departed--
We may not have been able to say goodbye due to
Circumstances beyond our control: whether accident,
Pandemic, act of violence or terminal disease: We miss you.
No one knows when one will leave us, it's just their time
Here is ended and they have to go.
Even if they're sick and you think you're all prepared--
Their passing is a shock and devastating blow.
Never doubt that they loved you and knew you loved
Them too. Arguements and estrangements cannot
Break the bond you have. Honest, true friendship and
Love of heart are everlasting, finite it is not.
Remember the time you had together was precious,
And will stay safe tucked in your heart; nothing and
No one can take that from you. You may sometimes feel
Their presence, or the touch of their loving hand.
Know they are not suffering anymore--God has
Made them all brand new. You will feel grief and sadness,
Stronger at times than others--but always know they want
You to go on and remember them with gladness.
Even when their physical presence is gone, and
You can't see each other face to face--
You can still communicate heart to heart with them,
That can't be replaced.
