RESPECT

 Respect is a value that has almost vanished in the

Society of the world today.  It isn't given freely or

Automatically--you have to EARN it everyday you

Live, not just once or twice. Then you're a faker.

Everyone should be treated with respect, no

Matter their race, gender, ethnicity, nationality,

Or financial or power status or lack thereof.  You

Wouldn't like being treated badly--why should they?

Leaders of some countries that treat their citizens

Poorly and use the country's money for themselves

And expect the citizens to respect them.  That's not

How it goes.  But they care only about themselves.

You are supposed to treat others as equals--not

Shame and humiliate them for how they dress,

Talk, their traditions, or beliefs.  That is just plain

Bullying and racist.  That is not in any way respect.

Members of governments may not do what is right for the

People they represent.  While people may respect the office

The person holds--they have none whatsoever for the person.

And why do some leaders feel the need to invade other countries?

They can say mean, hateful things about a person, but when

That person passes, they have special news coverage and say

What a great and well respected person they were.  So very false of

Them to do that when they're gone and can't hear the praise.

Try to remember how to earn and show respect.  While you're at

It, try to find where you buried the common sense we were all 

Given and use it.  All the higher education and degrees you have,

Didn't teach those subjects at all.
