God created Mothers to nurture their children
And give them love and care. To teach them right
From wrong, and to go to God in prayer, To teach them
Good manners, not to be bullies or to pick fights.
To respect their elders, and to always be kind, never look down
On others, and never say things in anger that hurt another and
Can't be taken back. Be helpful to others, expecting nothing
In return, and always be a good friend.
You may argue with your mother when she tells you "No"--
Or scolds you for something you did wrong--but it's only because
She loves you, and wants you to do right. She loves you unconditionally,
There's no contract with a loophole in that clause.
She comforts you when you're sad and hurting, is upset
When someone does you wrong--she's the human version
Of a Mama Bear protecting her cubs. There may be times when
You're not speaking, that's because you're a lot alike: both stubborn.
If God gave you a mother like this, you're blessed beyond compare.
Not everyone's so lucky. And when she's no longer
Here, you can always think of her and wonder "what would Mom
Do or say?" The bond you have lasts forever.
