OUTSIDER?

 When you feel like an outsider,

Because some of those close to you

Treat you that way--it can make your 

Heart hurt, not knowing what to do.

You're on the outside looking in, the

Interloper.  So they tolerate your presence,

But sometimes treat you with disdain..  They don't

Believe you want to help, and keep their distance.

They say you are stupid because you didn't move 

Far away.  They left ASAP to get away from

The anger.  But you knew someone had to be close.

So the outsider became the only one.

Dealing with that and other problems can make you

Want to withdraw and shut down.  But you have responsibilities.

So you push ahead and do what you feel is right.  You may not see them

For 20 years, but nothing changes.  They do help some, out of  love or duty?

When they have emergencies, they ask us to pray.  When there is

One here, they seem relieved the outsider took care of it.

They say they're glad and proud of you, but in the next breath

They berate you for asserting your authority in handling it.

We must remember everyone has their own batttles,

And the world doesn't revolve around just us.  We have our

Integrity and try to do what God says is right.  He loves us

Unconditionally forever--to Him we're not outsiders.
