Every year, people grumble around their
Birthdays about getting older. The only
Ones that don't gripe are the children. They
Wait for them to come around impatiently.
Some older people hate birthdays because
Most of their friends and family are gone.
Some are estranged from family and
Friends, and so they have no one.
Even with the health problems I have,
I'm happy to be alive each birthday.
It means I've made it through another
Year of the world's insanity and hate.
Every year you're alive is another
Year God wants you here for a
Purpose. You may not know what
It is, but He does. You'll find out some day.
Last year on my birthday, I tried to
Raise money for Alzheimer's Research.
Evidently, I didn't set it up right, because I
Only got $65.00-part of which came from my purse.
So this year--since my birthday is tomorrow--
I'm just going to ask people to do one of two
Things: Either donate to charity of your choice,
Or pay it forward to someone with bills due.
People say they hate birthdays--but I feel
Everyone deserves their own special day of
Recognition. God created us, He thinks we're
Special. In this time of pandemic, show some love.
People are hurting--either with finances or health.
Forget your pre-conceived notions and give from
Your heart--however you pay it forward--a smile,
Helping hand, or act of kindness for someone.
Happy Birthday to my fellow people on the 17th:
Kendall, Roxie, Doyle(feel better soon),
and those I don't know.
Happy Birthday to everyone this year--you've earned it.
