This year, as we've done every year before--
We gather with family and friends the last
Thursday in November to reflect on what we're
Thankful for. And to remember those who've passed.
For some, it will be their first year with
Their loved one gone--but they can still
Be thankful for the time they had with them.
Those memories will make your heart swell.
We're thankful for our military. To
Keep our country safe, they go to war.
And to our veterans who made it back--
They need our support and much more.
Some of us had personal trials that
We thought would never pass--
But Thanksgiving reminds us that
God helped us put them in the past.
We're thankful for our country--
May she always stand steady and strong.
And always be "One nation under God".
Which is where she belongs.
This day also honors the first
Thanksgiving between the Pilgrims
And the Native Americans who
Shared the harvest with them.
Enjoy the fellowship and the
Food, but most of all remember
To count your blessings and thank God
For Him helping you through troubled waters.
