I have always understood that everyone
Got the message God gave us in the Bible:
"All have sinned and come short of the Glory
Of God". Evidently, some feel they're not liable.
They either think it's an untrue rumor, or
That they can't possibly be imperfect--
They have too much power, fame, or money.
They feel they and their lives are perfect.
The Bible also says "He who is without sin
Cast the first stone." There certainly are
A lot of stones being thrown by people
Who are NOT without sin, near and far.
It's either racism or hate speech, or the
Politicians slinging mud at each other.
Or tabloids and media picking people apart,
Not doing as the Bible says: "to love one another."
Doesn't matter what country you're in, people
Will write or say derogatory things about you
When all you're doing is trying to live your lives
With those you love and the work you want to do.
As long as no one does anything illegal or
Immoral and no one is hurt or killed, why
Can't people be left in peace? If they need
Mental or physical help---that's no crime.
But ridiculing everything someone says or
Does, or how they dress--just because you don't
Think they're handling it right, is just plain cruel
And obnoxious. You wouldn't like it in their boat.
We're supposed to love one another and treat others
The way we would like to be treated. There is
Nothing to be gained by tearing people down and
Dissecting what they say and do and how they live.
It's not good for anyone's physical or mental
Health to act like nothing affects you, that it
Just rolls off your back like water off a ducks.
Famous or not, people need help to withstand it.
Just look at the number of people, young and
Old who were afraid to say how they felt--so
They killed themselves because they felt they
Would be ostracized. This is what we've come to.
People everywhere should make sure that they
And their households are in order, before
They decide to pick apart someone else.
You may not like what you see in the mirror.
