The beauty of an early morning sunrise,
And of the sunset at the end of day.
God created the earth in all it's beauty--
And He rested on the seventh day.
Some of us take for granted all the
Beauty that is everywhere to see.
We leave waste and litter behind us,
Treating God's gift shamefully.
Most families pass items they hold
Precious from generation to generation.
They take great care to preserve it,
They're heirlooms of great affection.
Why is it that we can't treat the
Earth like an heirloom given to us
By God? We bomb it, cut forests
Down to make offices or condos--progress???.
We need to keep areas of nature.
Not only for ourselves to enjoy,
But for animals who live in that habitat.
We need to preserve--not destroy.
We need to respect and take care
Of this world God gave us to live in.
If we don't, like almost everything--
It can disappear in minutes.
