There are things in our world
That we'll never understand.
I'm not talking about outer space--
But man's inhumanity to man.
It's not always about who did
What to whom, it seems more
About risks and being dared--
To prove you know the score.
People go to Africa and kill animals
That are illegal to kill. They get
Their pictures taken standing by
Their kill. Sometimes to win a bet.
When you take something you're
Not supposed to--you have to face
The consequences of your choice. Either
Court, or jungle justice by the animal race.
Killing innocent men, women, and
Children takes no particular skill.
You just get guns and ammo and
Feel hate and be deranged enough to kill.
So you see, before we look for life
In outer space and see what's there--
We need to straighten out and
Clean up the mess we've made here.
