People react differently to birthdays, some
Don't celebrate at all. They prefer to forget.
Other's party like crazy--they'll never be this age again.
Others simply shut down and go into mourning and lament.
My former boss turned 50 today--not sure
How he's handling it. I worked for him when
He was in his 30's and he said he had to be an adult.
Our co-worker/friend had died, he had a struggle then.
He was always available to talk to and ready
To laugh and have fun. We gave him a license
Plate birdhouse--he thought NEBRASKA was #1. We
Went to his wedding to Deena, they've been happy since.
They match each other perfectly--definitely
A perfect pair. She's as kind as he is, always
Ready to help however they can, and love bike
Riding, and anything outdoors. Even on hot days.
Happy Birthday Brett--I remember my 50th well.
No pain or grief and no Zombie Apocalypse.
Just friends and family wishing me well. I
Just survived my 61st, and I'm still a mess.
