Have you ever done something
For someone anonymously?
Whether friend or stranger,
Did it make you feel happy?

Has a total stranger ever done
Something for you just to
Be kind?  Did you try to thank
Them and they wouldn't let you?

These are random acts of kindness
And paying it forward to others.
Some people do it all the time.  Some
Need to learn it to help their sisters and brothers.

It's a lot better than taking revenge--
The feeling you get is amazing.
And no one ends up in jail, or hospital
Or dead from fights with guns blazing.

If people would do random acts
Of kindness and paying it forward
More, violence might go down--
And lessons would be learned.
