DO YOU REMEMBER?

Do you remember when thongs were
Something you wore on your feet
And not underwear?  If you don't
Say flip-flops--you're an antique.

Or how about when your jeans were
Torn, they were patched until they
Couldn't be patched anymore?  Now designers
Make them torn, and $200-300 is what you pay.

And tacos were made with chicken or
Beef?  Not fish or other seafood?
They may be very tasty to some--
But some don't think they're good.

Men would wear tight fitting jeans,
And women liked the look.  Now
Some wear jeans below their butts
Thinking they're cool--they're so wrong, WOW!

Used to be you would go have
A Coke with friends.  That meant
Coca Cola the soda--not powdered
Cocaine that destroys your judgement.

We used to love it as kids when
The popsicle man would come
To our block.  We all wanted ice cream.
Now parents don't feel it's safe to get some.

Times have changed--not always
For better.  Our words are still
Used, but have different meanings.
So don't worry you're over the hill.
