NOBODY GETS IT BUT GOD

The pain I feel
I keep inside.
The tears I cry
I try to hide.

People dump on me
Because they're scared--
Their lack of confidence
Is hard to bear.

Some people hold grudges because
Of what someone said.
Doesn't matter now--
They're long since dead.

It's not my place to apologize
For those who did wrong--
I am myself and I try
To stay strong.

When I withdraw, it's
In order to heal myself--
So I don't sink down
To the levels of someone else.

People feel the need to hate
Or criticize someone else.
When they should look in the
Mirror and work on themselves.
