You may not look as good
As you think you should,
Not everyone has classic
Beauty--that would be dull.
We are individuals and
Have beauty in different ways.
You can have beautiful skin or hair--
Or a smile people remember for days.
You can have a beautiful heart--
Always making others feel better,
By standing by them when needed,
Or sending a simple card or letter.
Outward beauty is only skin deep--
And it can fade with time.
Inward beauty can last forever.
It's light always shines.
Don't compare yourself to others--
In your mind you'll always lose.
In choosing inward or outward
Beauty--I know what I would choose.
