In the world of literature,
There are plays penned by
Shakespeare and poems from famous
Poets that bring tears to your eye.

Music is it's own form
Of literature--lyrics that
Move you, and melodies
Haunt you and you can't forget.

Whether ballads, or upbeat
Tempos to dance to--some
You fell in love to or you'd listen
To over and over after losing someone.

Some you grew up with,
And hearing them again
Is like running into an
Old and very dear friend.

You may not remember
What you had for lunch--
But you know every word of an
Old song, it touched you that much.

Music as a form of literature
Will stand the test of time.
Every generation has it's part--
Loved dearly as I love mine.
