ROXIE & DYLAN

You came into each other's lives,
And things were never the same.
You weren't a wicked step-mom--
He became your son, not just in name.

You couldn't have loved each other
More if you were related by blood.
She and the family were so proud of
You--helping the homeless, doing good.

You knew Christ was your Savior,
And were happy to share His word.
One of the reasons why we're sure
There are angels here on earth.

You weren't perfect, nobody is.
But you could be counted on
To lend a hand, to listen, and cheer
Someone up when their hope was gone.

You were his step-mom, but you
Feel his loss just as deep.
Memories of what you shared
Are locked in your heart to keep.
