Many thoughts go through our
Minds this Veterans Day.
We all want peace and to have
Our military home to stay.
WWI and WWII troops
Were welcomed home as heroes.
Korean vets were welcomed too--
Vietnam vets were treated as less than zero.
I hope our country has learned: Just
Because you hate the war--
Don't take it out on our veterans.
Your freedom is what they fight for.
WWI and WWII vets are now on
Their final tours of duty in life.
Most of our vets have difficulty with
PTSD, and homelessness--that's not right.
More people are coming together to
Help our vets with rehabilitation.
They need the best help we can give
For their service to our nation.
