LABELS

Don't call someone racist because
They have a big mouth and are white.
Don't call someone a criminal because
They're black and out at night.

Don't put targets on peoples backs
Because they are trying to keep
The law and order.  Or because
Some people are walking down the street.

Labels are for things--not
For people.  The sooner we
All learn that--the better chance
To unite our country.

Each citizen has to dig deep
Down and honestly look at their
Prejudices and what basis they
Have for them and if they're not fair.

If someone puts a label on you--
You'd be angry and in their face.
Now see the same thing--only
Put them in your place.

We need to learn to treat
Each other better, learn to share--
And most importantly, we need
TO LEARN TO CARE.
