WHY IS IT SO HARD TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

"We live on a blue plant that circles a ball of fire next to a moon that moves the sea, and you don't believe in miracles?"

This statement was posted online by a site called Purple Clover.  It makes you think.

Why is it so hard for some people
To believe in miracles?  Are they
Afraid others will laugh at them?
Miracles happen every day.

Each new day we're alive
Is a miracle.  Flowers blooming
In the Spring is a miracle.  People believe
Fortune Tellers who say riches are looming.

People believe in aliens, magic done
By magicians, witches or ghosts--
But they have trouble with miracles
Done by the Lord of Hosts.

Someone can be critically ill,
And may not make it through the night.
When they do and recover against the odds--
That's a miracle, but doctors won't say it outright.

It's a miracle that people are given
The gift to be Dr's. and Nurses--
That we've come so far in medicine,
Yet some still believe in curses.

Each new life brought into this world
Is a miracle and gift not to be abused.
Singing birds, animals both wild and tame--
Are miracles put here as God did choose.

There are big miracles that are noteworthy,
That help mankind.  People say it's human
Intelligence that made them come about.  But
That they have that intelligence was what made it happen.

Just open your eyes and look
Around--you'll see miracles everywhere.
Some are big, some are small--
But believe me, they're there.
