HOW CAN YOU?

How can you say you love me,
How can you say you care--
Then throw away the life we've made,
And leave me in despair?

The sacred vows we took
Before God and man,
You ground beneath your feet--
I don't understand.

We were supposed to be together,
Raise a family--make a home.
How could you lie to me?
Is your heart made of stone?

It takes two to make a family,
Sometimes only one to tear it apart.
All I know is you deceived me--
And left me with a broken heart.

I'll try and stay strong
With support from family and friends.
There's nothing sadder than a marriage
In ashes, and all your hopes end.
