Artists And Nature

For centuries, human artists
Have tried to imitate nature.
Painters see a landscape,
They copy it into a beautiful picture.

The colors in a sunrise or
A sunset, fall colors bright.
A rainbow copied in Tiffany
Lamps, stained glass colors of light.

Snowflakes and hoar frost--
Nature's version of fine, delicate
Lace.  Handmade lace and Tatting
Done by humans can also be elegant.

They say art imitates life,
But it also imitates nature--
The original form of life.
Complex, simple, and pure.
