Crispy fresh mountain air,
Mountains reaching up to the sky--
All so beautiful, you can understand
Why John Denver got a "Rocky Mountain High".
Cooking over a campfire, or on a gas stove--
The smell of good food in the air.
Going on hikes or exploring ghost towns,
Chipmunks seeing you eat, wanting to share.
Campgrounds at Steamboat Springs--
It also has places to snow ski.
Canon City, Chalk Creek Canyon--
Everywhere you look--beauty.
Go to Pikes Peak or
Even the North Pole.
Look in awe at The Royal Gorge,
Cross the swinging bridge--but don't look below.
Forests that are homes
To rabbits, squirrels and deer.
No smog, loud noises, or
Traffic jams around here.
Some people dream of living
In cabins in the woods--
With beautiful mountain scenery.
And lots of winter clothes and parkas with hoods.
