Treasure The Small Things

A child gets a boo boo
And runs to Mommy or Daddy
To get a kiss to make it all better.
Some things parents do.

Walk hand in hand
With your child or parent--
Without knowing it,
Looking back you'll treasure it.

Save the pictures drawn
And cards made at school.
They put their hearts in them,
To throw them out would be cruel.

Spend quality time with
Your child or elderly parent.
In the blink of an eye time will pass
And you won't know where it went.

Remember the games you
Played as a child.
Running and hollering,
And acting silly or wild.

All these things are treasures,
And should be treated as such.
They're yours to keep forever,
And they mean so very much.
