Father's Day

Don't forget God this Father's Day.
Your earthly father may be wonderful to you,
Or maybe mean and abusive--or just not there.
Your Heavenly Father remains steadfast and true.

Some human fathers set limits
Or conditions on their love.
God's is pure and unconditional--
Like the beauty of a snow white dove.

You may not be able to make
Or buy something to give to God--
Your gift is your love, heart and soul,
And sharing His word as through life you trod.

If your earthly father is kind
And he follows God's word,
You are blessed to have two fathers
To talk to and be heard.

If your father's no longer living,
Or just left and gone away--
Don't forget your Heavenly Father,
He loves you and is here to stay.
