How do you judge the cost
Of a human life?
Whether young or old,
Whether black or white.
No matter what religion
Or ethnic background you are,
Your life is priceless--
No using a high limit credit card.
Whether military members,
Or a local first responder--
Everyone has families
That love, worry and wonder.
Killing someone because
They got someone you knew,
Does not help the problem--
It makes it fester and brew.
Trying to prove to everyone
How very BAD you are,
By setting off bombs
Or driving explosive filled cars.
Injured bystanders, and those
Killed by mistake--are simply called
"Collateral damage" instead of their names.
And the world is appalled.
You can never repay someone
The cost of taking someones' life away.
The earthly court will make it's verdict--
But God makes the final decision on judgement day.
