Do You Remember What Christmas Is For?

Everyone goes crazy for early
Christmas sales.  They line up
At dawn or camp until the store opens.
With thermos' of coffee to fill their cups.

It makes you stop and wonder,
If they line up for all these things--
If given the chance, would they line
Up to see the King of Kings?

Would they get up early
And wait in the cold,
To see the man who died
To save their souls?

We say Merry Christmas,
Not Happy Holidays.
It's Christ's birthday after all--
And He deserves our praise.

It's sad to see people line up
To buy material things.
They forget the reason for the
Holiday--Happy Birthday to the King.
