The moon and stars
In a dark velvet sky.
Make a wish as a
Shooting star goes by.
Silvery light makes
Things look romantic and quiet.
Watching the stars is calming,
Sit outside some night and try it.
Tranquility and peace,
Is something we all need.
We're all too busy running
Around at break neck speed.
Play soft music--
Just loud enough to hear.
It goes with the night,
And won't hurt your ears.
For this moment in time,
All of our problems and concerns--
Personal, national and worldwide,
Fade away--always to return.
