A life without hope
Must be a sad life indeed.
Nothing to look forward to--
No dreams to dream.
You also need faith
To keep hope alive--
Faith in God and yourself,
Or your soul will crumble and die.
Faith is believing
In something you can't always see--
And it feeds you hope
For how much better things can be.
People lose faith because of many things:
The cruelty of mankind,
Starvation and homelessness--
Hope keeps them going, a better life to find.
The two go together
By God's design--
Because a world without either
Could also crumble and die.
