Greed, Avarice, & Idiocy

I have heard several people
Describe our economy and government this way:
Greed, Avarice, and even Idiocy
Trying to find someone to blame.

Big banks and companies
Let greed rule their lives--
They shafted innocent people
With their promises and lies.

People were laid off or "furloughed"
With no way to pay bills or buy food--
And the government can't understand
The citizens angry mood.

They want to change Healthcare,
And spent millions to do it.
The system doesn't work
Throwing more good money into a pit.

Every computer geek knows,
To run a myriad of tests--
To check for problems with the system
That may exist.

This is where the idiocy
Comes in--
They should have done more testing
Before they tried to begin.

The people who made the system
Knew what they were talking about,
When the said hold off on the October 1st start date--
There are more bugs to work out.

But did government listen?
No, not at all--
They do that a lot these days--
Both Congress and the White House dropped the ball.

I won't even mention
The White House and Congress standoff--
That's a whole other can of worms.
They couldn't even agree playing golf.
