The government
Should be ashamed--
Being in a stalemate,
That causes Americans pain.
Federal employees are furloughed,
National Parks are closed--
Sick people can't get their meds,
When it will end, no one knows.
They should all live as normal people
For a month or two,
Same low pay and insurance--
And see how THEY do.
They were elected
By their constituents,
To serve on their behalf--
What they need is a good dose of common sense.
